Mt. Rupert Church Cemetery, Upshur County

This cemetery is also known as the Heavener Cemetery, not to be confused with the cemetery with the same name in Buckhannon

Ira Newton Westfall was the son of Rev. Jasper Newton Westfall and Jane Reese. He was born on October 28, 1880 in Upshur County and died on August 1, 1976 in Buckhannon. His wife, Bertha Gay Martz was born in March, 1883 and died on March 1, 1963 in Buckhannon. They were members of the Mt. Rupert Church.

The Reverend Jasper Newton Westfall, son of Colonel Watson Westfall and Rachel Tenney. He was born on May 22, 1840 at the Watson Westfall home on Turkey Run, Lewis County, and died in Buckhannon on May 3, 1890 just before his fiftieth birtday.

Colonel Watson Westfall was a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church. He was the son of George Westfall and Lydia Cutright, born in Lewis County in 1814. His grandparents were Zacharia and Hannah (Wolfe) Westfall. He married Rachel Tenney June 29, 1839 in Lewis County. Watson died on February 19, 1892 in Buckhannon.

Granville Dayton Westfall was also the son of Watson and Rachel Tenney Westfall, born in Upshur County and died in Union City, Upshur County. He married Martha Ellen Day on June 27, 1869 in Upshur County. She died on June 17, 1885 and the following year Granville married Mrs. Mrs. Bina Snell.

Ida May Westfall, daughter of Granville D. and Martha E. (Day) Westfall, born December 31, 1869 in Upshur County and died on October 3, 1893 at the age of 23. She was never married.

Rev. George Gideon Westfall was the son of Jasper N. Westfall and Jane Reese. He was born on August 4, 1864 in Upshur County, and died on January 18, 1942 in Upshur County. He married Emma A. Hamrick in Randolph County on August 16, 1894. She died in 1856 in Upshur County.

Blue Rock Cemetery, Randolph County

Lorenzo Dow Westfall was the son of John H. Westfall and Elizabeth Allman. He was born in Lewis County on April 6, 1834 (not 1838), and died in Randolph County on August 10, 1902. He enlisted in the Confederate Army on May 24, 1861 as a Private, Company F, 31st Virginia Infantry at Huttonsville, Randolph County. He married Mary E. Smith, a relative of his mother Lydia Wilson-Smith-Westfall. After the war Lorenzo took up residence in Huttonsville where he died.
